Sheet Pan Nachos

This time I used ground beef, but we’ve used chicken, steak and pork and all of them make me happy. Layer of chips, layer of cheese, layer of meat, layer of veggies, more cheese and then top with sour cream, salsa and guacamole.

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (1.25-ounce) package taco seasoning
1 package tortilla chips
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 Roma tomato, diced
1/4 cup diced red onion
Garnishes- Sour Cream, Salsa, Guacamole

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground beef and garlic, and cook until beef is almost totally browned. Separate and crumble beef as it cooks. Add taco seasoning and cook until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Place tortilla chips in a single layer onto the baking sheet. Top with ground beef mixture, black beans, onion, jalapeno (optional) and cheeses.
4. Place into oven and bake until heated through and the cheeses have melted, about 5-6 minutes.
5. Top with tomato, sour cream, guacamole, salsa and serve immediately.
