My Air Fryer is up there on my favorite item in my kitchen. At least top 5. I’m not sure we’ve made anything that didn’t turn out great. Well, except for the Bloomin Onion. That was a fail. Some things are just meant to be deep fried.
In honor of Super Bowl Sunday, I had to share my Air Fryer Chicken Wing recipe!
I’ve made wings before in the oven and they turned out pretty good but were lacking that crispy fried taste that I was craving. Enter the Air Fryer. They were crispy!! I was so excited. So I learned two tricks that I think really helped to make them crispy. Baking Powder and turning them halfway through. Very simple but made a huge difference.
Also, a very helpful tip is use the air fryer with these wings in the garage or outside. Weird, yes, but better than having your house turn into a smoky, stinky pit.
As far as sauces, I cooked the wings then coated them with the sauce. I used a premade Buffalo sauce and barbecue sauce. I’m all for making my own sauces but after cooking all the wings, i wanted simple. I’m not a spicy fan, so I made a few with barbecue sauce for me as well. After the sauce you can always throw them under the broiler to get them charbuffed (that’s the word, right?). I LOVE them that way.
