WHAT’S FOR A SWEET SNACK?

Dark Chocolate Almond Clusters with Sea Salt

Possibly the easiest treat on my site. Three ingredients. Almonds, chocolate and sea salt. I love these because they are something small that I can pop in my mouth which satisfies my sweet tooth without being something that will ruin all healthy eating habits. I have healthy eating habits sometimes. Ya know, every now and then. Okay, mainly Mondays.

These have the sweet and the salty plus toasting almonds releases amazing flavors from the almonds. Seriously, toasting the almonds is a game changer.

If you are looking for a healthy(ish) snackable treat then you’ve found your match. Enjoy!

Ingredients

2 cups whole almonds
8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
sea salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a Silpat, parchment or spray with nonstick spray. Spread almonds on baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 10-12 minutes. Set aside.
2. Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments, stirring after each time until completely melted.
3. Stir the almonds into the chocolate, making sure to coat each one. Spoon clusters onto parchment paper/baking sheet as large or small as you’d like. Sprinkle each cluster immediately with sea salt. Leave until chocolate is fully set. You can place in the fridge to speed up the process.
