This banana bread is the best ever. Hands down, no contest. Better than the Chrissy Teigen’s banana bread. Okay, I’ve never had the Chrissy Teigen banana bread but I would bet money. Also, so easy. Like make it in minutes.

Then when it’s all warm and the middle is crazy soft and the chocolate chips are still melty then spread some butter on there (salted butter for sure) and bite into the best and most nostalgic feeling ever. LOVE!!

Also, below is a little video I made to show you how easy this one is to make. One of my first video attempts so be kind. But I love watching these videos so I am so excited to make more!

Grab those ugly brown bananas from your counter and make yourself some incredible banana bread!

Ingredients

8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted and cooled

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs, beaten

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

4 to 5 very ripe bananas, mashed

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/22/3 cups chocolate chips

1 to 2 tablespoons sugar to sprinkle over the top

Extra Butter for topping to eat!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8 x 8-inch pan with nonstick baking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer or a large bowl, beat together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combines. Add the mashed bananas and mix until combined.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients a little bit at a time and beat just until combined after each addition. Add the chocolate chips and mix by hand until incorporated.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the sugar over the top.
  5. Bake 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let the bread cool slightly and then serve warm with butter.
