Breakfast around here sounds a little like this…

Leah- I want waffles. And sausage.

Me- We have waffles every morning. What about oatmeal?

Leah- No. Waffles. And sausage.

Me- How about cereal? Toast? Eggs? And some fruit?

Leah- Waffles. Sausage. And milk.

Me- I know, how about we make our own yogurt parfaits!?

Leah- YOGUR PERFEES???? (she has no idea what a yogur perfee is)

I can get away with saying a new word and enticing her with that to get her to try something new. It won’t work forever so I’m just using it as much as I can these days. She also likes anything she can do herself. So these little yogur perfees are perfect for kids to help make. Grab yogurt and then choose other ingredients you have around Strawberries, granola, peanut butter, honey, cereal, chocolate, blueberries, bananas, so much stuff would work in these. Then let them spoon up and layer however they want.

I always find that if Leah helps make it, she will want to eat more of it. Not every time, she’s still a toddler so anything goes really.

Grab any glasses, fruit, yogurt and other goodies and make yourself a fun and delicious Yogur Parfeeeee!

If you make these, snap a photo, send it to me or post and tag @lolosdesserts. I love to see what you are making! Also follow me over at Facebook and Instagram @lolosdesserts.
