Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Mint Chocolate Chip is my favorite flavor of ice cream, it’s a perfect mix of rich chocolate and sweet mint in a creamy ice cream. This recipe is very easy with no fancy ingredients. You will love it!

Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

1 cup milk

2 cups heavy cream

1 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

4 oz semi-sweet chocolate bar, chopped roughly in chunks

2 drops green food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a mixer or with a hand mixer, cream together the cream cheese and the sugar until smooth.
  2. Add the food coloring, mint extract and salt. Combine until smooth. Add the milk and heavy cream and mix again until smooth.
  3. Add to your ice cream maker and mix until reaches ice cream texture. About 20 minutes.
  4. In the last few minutes of churning, add the chocolate chunks and continue to mix for a couple minutes.
  5. Scoop the ice cream mixture into an air tight container and freeze for at least a few hours (or overnight) before serving. Enjoy!
