This Instant Pot Ziti recipe is a perfect storm of an incredible meal. Easy, quick, delicious, creamy and cheesy! 

All it takes is a few ingredients to make this comforting dinner. Plus, if your kid is like mine and only loves noodles half the time, then this ziti recipe will be a win. 

This is the Instant Pot I use, if you are in the market for one. I’ve had it for years and it’s treated me well. 

Do I need to boil the noodles first?

Nope. Everything for this Instant Pot Ziti recipe is done right in the Instant Pot. You add the dry ziti noodles along with the broth, heavy cream and spices right in the pot and let it do it’s thing. The noodles come out perfectly cooked al dente. Easy. 

Can I add other things to this recipe?

Absolutely! One of my favorite things to add to this is chicken nuggets. Yep, frozen chicken nuggets. I cook them in the air fryer, oven or microwave and then add the nuggets to your bowl and combine in all the cheese sauce. 

My other favorite add to this Instant Pot Ziti recipe is shrimp. So good and yet another option for this super easy recipe. 

Don’t forget veggies either! Spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, or artichokes. All delicious adds.

Instant Pot Tomato Ziti

This Instant Pot Ziti recipe is a perfect storm of an incredible meal. Easy, quick, delicious, creamy and cheesy!

Prep time: 5 min  |  Cook time: 15 min  |  Total: 20 min

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon minced garlic

pinch of salt and pepper

8 ounces ziti pasta, dry (about 2 cups)

1 cup tomato pasta sauce

1 cup parmesan, shredded

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. In the Instant Pot, add the broth, heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper and noodles. Don’t Stir!
  2. Set the Instant Pot to Manual for 6 minutes. Then do a natural release for 6 minutes, then do the quick release.
  3. Take off lid and then add the pasta sauce and stir.
  4. Add both cheeses and stir again. The cheese will thicken the sauce.
  5. Serve! Add more parmesan on top if desired. Easy dish to add a protein to as well.
