I know wings always come up around the Superbowl but I think we should make home cooked chicken wings way more of a regular occasion. Especially when cooking them in the air fryer is quick, easy and still gives you that crispy outside skin you get from restaurant fried wings.
Let’s be honest, I really just want that crispy skin. So good. This is the base recipe for a good old fashioned wing, I just added a little bit of garlic because garlic goes with everything. You can really add any seasoning you’d like: parmesan, lemon pepper, onion, anything. Or you can also toss these up after in your favorite wing sauce. If you are my husband, you want them dripping in buffalo sauce. With ranch, don’t forget the ranch.
Any way you like them, the air fryer is the way to make these! Check out the easy recipe below and let me know what you think!
Air Fryer Chicken Wings are super easy and give you that crispy skin that is the best part. Add your favorite seasoning or sauce and enjoy!
1 lb chicken wings, mix of skateboards and drumettes
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
*Add any other dry seasoning before cooking and then top with your favorite wing sauce after
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Place wings on paper towels and then pat dry with more paper towels. Place wings in a large bowl.
2. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle garlic and salt over top. Toss together until all wings are coated.
3. Place the wings in a single layer on the air fryer basket and cook for 8 minutes. Then flip each wing and cook for another 8 minutes. You can add on more time if you would like a little more browning or crispiness.
4. Once done, enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce or toss in your favorite wing sauce.
