A classic French Dip Sandwich with the ease of a simple slider to serve a crowd. Deli roast beef, melted provolone cheese, and caramelized onions between buttery slider buns.
Hawaiian rolls (12 pack)
6–8 slices Provolone cheese
8 Tablespoons (1 stick) butter for filling
3 Tablespoons butter for topping
1 onion, sliced
2 tablespoons minced garlic for filling
2 teaspoons minced garlic for topping
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce for filling
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce for topping
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon ground pepper
2 Tablespoon powder Au jus (1 oz packet)
1 lb sliced deli roast beef
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. In a 9×13 baking dish, place the bottom half of the rolls. Top the rolls with the slices of Provolone cheese, tearing in half to fit. Overlap if needed. Set aside.
2. In a large skillet, add the stick of butter, onions, and 2 Tablespoons of minced garlic. Cook together until onions are soft, about 5 minutes. Add the 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, pepper, au jus seasoning powder, and roast beef slices. Mix together and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
3. Place the roast beef mixture on top of the cheese and rolls. Then place the top half of the Hawaiian Rolls on top.
4. In a separate small bow, melt the butter then add the 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce and 2 teaspoons minced garlic. Stir together and then brush butter mixture over top the rolls.
5. Bake the Sliders uncovered for about 10 minutes or until tops are golden brown and cheese is melty. Serve!
