If you’re on the hunt for a quick, easy, and comforting dinner that your whole family will love, this One Pan Creamy Chicken and Broccoli with Orzo is your new go-to. Made in just one pan with tender chicken, fresh broccoli, and creamy, cheesy orzo, this meal is perfect for busy weeknights when you want something cozy without the mess. It’s a family favorite in our house, and I’m betting it’ll become one in yours too.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add a long drizzle of oil. Add the chopped onion to the pan and cook until soft. (about 3-4 minutes) Add 1 Tablespoon of minced garlic and stir together and cook for another 2 minutes.
Next, add the uncooked orzo, 3 cups chicken broth, 1 cup Hiland Heavy Cream or Milk, 2 cups chopped/shredded chicken, a package of frozen broccoli, 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper. Stir all together and bring to a simmer.
Continue to cook for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until thick and creamy and the orzo is soft.
Remove from heat and sprinkle the shredded cheese over top and mix in. Serve and enjoy!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave with a splash of milk to bring back the creaminess.

Frozen Broccoli (12 oz package)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cups White Cheddar Cheese (Any Cheese works)
