Steakhouse Soup

Cozy soup recipe filled with tender pieces of steak and tons of veggies with a steakhouse special ingredient that make this soup extra special.

Ingredients

1 box (32 ounces) beef broth

11/2 pounds red potatoes, cut into cubes

11/2 pounds sirloin steak or beef stew meat, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

1 package (16 ounces) frozen vegetables of your choice, thawed

2 cups water

1 medium onion, chopped

1 cup steak sauce, any brand

2 teaspoons dried parsley

1 Tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, more if you want more of a kick

Instructions

  1. Use a 5qt or 6qt pot on low heat. Add all the ingredients into the pot, stir together and let simmer for 8 to 10 hours on low.
  2. Once steak and potatoes are tender, spoon up into bowls and enjoy. Add some french or italian bread to dip into the broth.
  3. To freeze this soup, wait until cool then portion out into freezer safe containers to store. When ready to eat, place portions in a pot and heat on low-medium until warm.
