Ingredients

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 1/2 sticks butter, cut into pieces

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, butter, and unsweetened chocolate. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute then stir. Continue heating for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each round. Careful not to burn. Heat until smooth.
  3. Next, stir in the sugar. You can use one bowl and a wooden spoon for this recipe, or mixer. Then stir in the eggs, one at a time, until combined. Add in the flour and then the toffee bits, mixing until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake until a toothpick comes out with a bit of moist crumbs on it. About 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool completely. Serve room temp or chilled.
