WHAT’S FOR Small Bites?

Dark Chocolate Toffee Truffles

Array/5
COOK TIME
TOTAL TIME
15 min + chill time
SERVINGS
12-16 balls

This is the second recipe I made using the toffee I got from Tasty Good Toffee. I went ALL out with this one, no messing around. Super rich and chocolately and packed with toffee! These are dark chocolate toffee truffles and they are my new guilty pleasure.

Truffles seem so fancy but they are way easier to make than a lot of things in the kitchen. Cookies are harder for sure. No baking. Just heating, pouring, mixing, cooling and ball rolling. Done.

You could use any type of chocolate for these but I just love the richness of dark chocolate. Plus, it goes really well with the brown sugar, caramel flavors of toffee.

Grab some heavy cream and your chocolate chips and make yourself some truffles! Snap a pic of your creation, post it and tag #lolosdesserts. I love to see what you are making. Also follow @lolosdesserts on Instagram and Facebook!

Ingredients

1 package (10 ounces) Dark Chocolate Chips

2/3 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Pour the chocolate chips in a medium size bowl and set aside. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until it just starts to boil. Remove from heat and immediately pour over the chocolate chips.
  2. Do not stir yet, let stand for about 1 minute. Then stir until chocolate is smooth. Add vanilla and toffee bits, stir again until combined.
  3. Cover bowl and chill in the fridge for about 2 hours.
  4. Once chilled, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a small cookie scoop, scoop chocolate mixture into 1 inch balls. Roll in your hands to form the ball.
  5. You can roll in more toffee bits or cocoa powder then place on baking sheet. Chill again until ready to serve.
