Ingredients

1 large egg

¾ cup sugar

½ cup Hiland Dairy Sour Cream

½ cup Hiland Dairy Lemonade

Lemon zest from 2 lemons

1 ½ cup flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Glaze

1 cup powdered sugar

34 Tablespoons Hiland Dairy Lemonade

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a mini donut pan with nonstick spray and set aside.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the egg, sugar, Hiland sour cream, Hiland Lemonade, and lemon zest. Use a whisk or wooden spoon to mix ingredients together until combined and smooth.

  3. To the same bowl, add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix together until just combined, careful not to over mix.

  4. Using a spoon or piping bag, place dough into each donut mold about ¾ full. Bake donuts for about 10 minutes. Remove and let cool for a few minutes then transfer donuts to a cooling rack.

  5. Glaze: In a medium bowl, combine the powdered sugar and Hiland Lemonade. Use a whisk to make the glaze smooth.

  6. Once donuts are cooled, dip the tops of each donut into the glaze. Let the donut glaze set for several minutes. Then dip each donut a second time into the lemonade glaze.

  7. Once the glaze is set, serve and enjoy!
