Baked Lemonade Donuts are sweet, soft, and full of lemonade flavor all done in less than 30 minutes. Hiland Dairy Lemonade gives these Donuts their classic lemonade flavor in an easy and delicious recipe when you are in the mood for something light and sweet.

Why these Baked Lemonade Donuts are so good!

I love this donut recipe because of the texture and the flavor. The bonus is how easy this recipe is. The texture is soft and moist with a bit of a crispier edge. The flavor is a subtle sweet taste of Hiland Dairy Lemonade throughout the donut with the added lemonade flavor in the double dipped glaze over top of the finished baked donut. The combo of the soft texture and lemonade flavor make this one of my favorite spring treats.

What is in a Baked Lemonade Donut?

The ingredients in Lemonade Donuts are really simple and you only need one bowl and a wooden spoon to mix them all together. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Egg

  • Sugar

  • Hiland Dairy Sour Cream

  • Hiland Dairy Lemonade

  • Lemons

  • Flour

  • Baking powder and baking soda

  • Salt

  • Powdered sugar

How to Make Lemonade Donuts?

You only need one big bowl and a wooden spoon for this recipe. No mixer required. You add the sugar, egg, sour cream, lemonade, and lemon zest together then mix until smooth. After that, you’ll add the flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Mix everything together until just combined and careful not to overmix.

Spray a mini donut pan with nonstick spray and use a spoon, piping bag or ziploc to fill each donut shape. Bake for about 10 minutes.

To make the lemonade glaze, you’ll just combine powdered sugar and Hiland Dairy Lemonade together. After the donuts are cooled, dip the tops in the glaze. Wait until the glaze is set and hardened and then do a double dip in the glaze.

Do I Need to Have a Donut Pan?

Definitely not! I use my mini donut pan for this recipe, but if you don’t have one you can use a mini muffin pan to make more of a lemonade “donut hole.” Same baking time for a mini muffin pan.

If you have a regular size donut pan or use a regular muffin tin, then you’ll want to increase the baking time a couple minutes. Just watch and check on them.

  1. These were fantastic! My daughter has a gluten intolerance so I substituted Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 Baking flour for the regular flour. Worked perfect! Family favorite and so easy to make!

    1. Oh good! I’m so happy they were a hit! Also- that is great info to know the gluten free flour worked well!
