I’ve been trying to search for more recipes that might be considered semi healthy. I mean, I’m still all about treats being treats (I should probably add “in moderation” here, right?) but I like options. So I kept seeing this recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Flourless Banana Bread come up from The Baker Mama blog and I finally decided to try it. It looked so good and I gotta say, it did not disappoint. Bonus is that it is completely gluten free and you likely have all the ingredients in your kitchen already.
It was ridiculously easy. Like, put everything in a blender/food processor and mix then pour in the pan and bake kind of easy. It turned out so tasty and I was mostly surprised by how moist this bread was.
Funny story is that I was editing the photos and Dave looked them over and said “when did you make this?” I realized that I may have eaten the entire loaf before Dave ever got to sample any. And I may have put it out of his sight. Just maybe.
If you are looking for something that is sweet but still whole foods, healthy and gluten free then give this banana bread a go and let me know what you think!
