Here are some other ideas of ingredients you could add to your Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl.
The Air Fryer is such an incredible tool for making perfectly cooked salmon. It heats up quickly, cooks quickly and cooks perfectly! The Air Fryer basically works as a mini convention oven by circulating the heat around the food. This allows the food to cook more evenly, more quickly and get that crispiness of the oven.
I love using it for this Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl because it makes this a very simple meal to throw together. I use the Gourmia brand and you can get it here. I found mine originally at Costco for under $100.

There are lots of great ways to make this Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl without an air fryer. My other favorite ways are in the oven and to pan fry salmon.
Oven- Line a sheet pan with parchment, pat the salmon dry, drizzle olive oil and add your seasoning. Cook at 400 degrees about 14 minutes.
Pan Fried- Pat the salmon filets dry, drizzle with olive oil and add seasoning. Get a large skillet hot on med/high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil and a Tablespoon of butter. Place salmon in the skillet and cook on each side 4-5 minutes.
This Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl is incredibly easy to make.
Start by cutting the salmon and placing the pieces into a bowl with the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic and salt. Mix and cover the salmon. Let sit for a few minutes. Place the salmon pieces in the air fryer and cook for 6 minutes at 400 degrees, flipping halfway.
While the salmon cooks, you can make your rice (I just use a steam bag of rice in the microwave) and mix together the Yum Yum Sauce to drizzle over the Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl. In a bowl, simply mix together the mayo, tomato paste, sugar, garlic powder, paprika, butter, salt, and water.
Once the salmon is cooked, you can start building the Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl. Rice on the bottom followed by the salmon pieces, edamame, avocado. Then generously drizzle the Yum Yum Sauce over top the whole thing. Mix together and enjoy!
Absolutely! The Air Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl is a great recipe to prep ahead of time and heat up during the week.
I like to prep all the parts separately and then heat up when I’m ready to eat. Make a batch of rice and the salmon ahead and keep them in an air tight container. Use a separate container for the edamame and another for the Yum Yum Sauce.
Heating it all up- I add a Tablespoon or 2 to the rice and heat in the microwave at 50% power for 45 seconds, repeat until hot.
Salmon- Heat salmon in the microwave at 50% heat for 30 seconds, repeat until warmed through.
Add all together in a bowl and drizzle the yum yum sauce. Enjoy!
