What is Yum Yum Sauce?

Yum Yum Sauce is a classic Japanese Steakhouse sauce that goes great with steak, chicken, shrimp or rice. Great for dipping or for drizzling.

The base for this easy Yum Yum Sauce Recipe is mayo mixed with only a few other simple ingredients you likely have in your kitchen already.

What are the Ingredients in Yum Yum Sauce?

The ingredients in this Yum Yum Sauce are simple. A combination of:

  • mayo
  • tomato paste
  • sugar
  • garlic powder
  • paprika
  • kosher salt
  • butter
  • water

Tips for Making Yum Yum Sauce

This Yum Yum Sauce Recipe is incredibly easy to make in less than 5 minutes. I like mine a bit more sweet so I may add a tiny bit more sugar. You may like yours a bit more savory, so add a little more garlic or paprika. If you like it spicy, you can always add a little sriracha too.

I also like to leave this yum yum sauce recipe a little thicker when I use it as a dipping sauce by adding less water. Then adding a little more water to thin the sauce out to use for drizzling over my favorite rice bowl.

What Recipes Should I Use Yum Yum Sauce With?

I love using Yum Yum Sauce on so much stuff, even just to dip chicken nuggets in. #momlife
