We’ve called this easy appetizer, Pizza Treats, since I was little. It seems they may have been a popular one at parties in the 80s and 90s and for good reason, they are delicious. Bite size little toast bite of all the classic pizza flavor. I used to steal so many of these at my parents’ parties, great memories.
This recipe and its ingredients are very simple and all come together in one bowl. Here’s all the ingredients you’ll need.
Ground Beef
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Chopped Olives
Tomato Soup
Vegetable Oil
Onions
Oregano
Garlic
Salt
Mozzarella Cheese
Party Size Rye Bread
In a skillet, brown the beef and cook through. Drain off grease and then add the cook ground beef to a large bowl.
To the large bowl, add the shredded cheddar, olives, tomato soup, vegetable oil, oregano, garlic powder and salt. Mix everything together until combined.
On a baking sheet, place the rye bread slices into rows. Place a large spoonful of the beef mixture onto each piece of rye bread. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over each.
Cook at 350 degrees for about 7 minutes or until the cheese is nice and melty. Remove from the oven and let sit for about 5 minutes then serve.
