Shrimp Pastries are one of the appetizers my mom would make for parties she hosted when I was growing up. Also, another appetizer that I would steal many of before the party even started. These are so easy to make, only a couple ingredients and incredibly delicious. Shrimp dipped in butter, thyme and garlic then wrapped in a buttery crescent roll.
This recipe and its ingredients are very simple. Here’s all the ingredients you’ll need.
You’ll need medium to large size fully cooked shrimp. Tails off and deveined. I buy frozen shrimp, keeps it very easy.
You can’t go wrong with butter, ever. It’s basically my life motto. Melt a few Tablespoons of butter and then you’ll mix in the spices.
Garlic powder and ground Thyme added to the melted butter and mixed together. Very simple, nothing fancy.
A tube of refrigerated crescent rolls is all you need for the buttery outer layer of these shrimp pastries.
Defrost shrimp if needed plus devein and remove tails. Pat dry and set aside.
In a medium size bowl, melt the butter and add the garlic powder and thyme. Mix together.
Lay out the crescent roll triangle dough and cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangle strips. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick spray.
Dip each shrimp in the butter mixture and then place at the end at one end of a crescent roll strip. Roll the shrimp up and then place on the baking shrimp. Repeat with all the shrimp. Brush the remaining butter over top of the shrimp pastries. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes or until golden brown on top. Remove and serve!
I love a good appetizer! Check out some of my favorite recipes below!
