Lunch time doesn’t have to be boring with just another sandwich. Why not take a classic sandwich like a BLT (hello bacon) with all the toppings and a special creamy sauce made with Hiland Dairy Sour Cream and only two other ingredients to top the whole thing. Easy and quick, but loads flavor. But wait, there’s more…grab some crunchy chips and your favorite Hiland Dairy Dip and you might just have a perfect lunch.
Indulgent can be simple additions to classic recipes. My favorite way to make a lunch meal a bit indulgent is sauces! Spreads, drizzles, dressings, dipping sauces, I love it all.
Hiland Dairy has the best sour creams, cream cheese, heavy cream that are the base for so many incredible sauces.
I love making a Creamy Garlic dressing with Hiland sour cream, milk, vinegar, lemon, and garlic. It’s so good! I also can’t pass over a fantastic drizzle over a burrito bowl made with sour cream, milk and taco seasoning. It makes a regular lunch dish just a bit more special.
The recipe today is a classic sandwich, the BLT (with avocado). But I’ve added a sandwich spread that I have been loving. It’s simple but elevates a sandwich to the next level. This sandwich spread is simply made from mayo, Hiland sour cream, and mustard. It adds the creaminess and slight tangy flavor to an already delicious classic sandwich.
But what’s a sandwich without a crunchy side? Gotta have some chips and a famous Hiland Dairy Dip to eat with your sandwich. Already made, incredible ingredients and flavors. A quick and easy way to add a little bit of indulgence to your lunch break.
